About the job:

The Field Development Engineer will be part of our Kent Houston Offshore Engineering Team involved in field development studies for our global clients, ranging from subsea developments, evaluation and upgrade of process & utility systems on existing facilities, and the concept definition of new fixed and floating facility options.

This position is based in our office in Houston, TX with the possibility of up to 10% international travel.

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead multidiscipline engineering teams.
  • Evaluate project-specific criteria to drive the successful outcomes of concept identification and selection studies.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of supply and service contracts to ensure successful delivery to our client(s).
  • Provide technical guidance and support for process engineering and commercial and operational questions.
  • Organize reviews and selection activities to verify client needs.
  • Assist and perform investigative studies and engineering scopes.
  • Work directly with client operating company personnel.
  • Uphold professional ethics and standards of conduct.
  • Lead research and solve unprecedented technical problems of considerable scope and complexity, the solution of which may have a far-reaching impact on extensive technical activities of the firm.
  • Strong persuasive ability, technical writing and communications skills are required at this level, proven through such technical presentations, technical papers and/or participation in technical committees that will demonstrate an advanced state-of-the-art technical expertise.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Qualification/ Certification:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in appropriate discipline.
  • This level may be achieved by technical professionals with a minimum of 10+ years of Oil & Gas Offshore experience since Bachelor's degree.
  • Professional certification/registration is preferred.
  • Offshore Oil & Gas major project experience is required.
