About the job:

Kent is recruiting an Estimating Manager, Americas based in Houston, Texas

Your Responsibilities:

To generate estimate of all accuracy bands to support business winning for the Americas region.

  • Embrace and live the safety leadership covenants developed within the Kent Group. Demonstrate these behaviors and advocate the vision.
  • Read and understand estimating requirements for all RFPs/ITBs.
  • Prepare detailed bottom-up estimates for EPC proposals, Construction Proposals and Services proposals.
  • Estimate direct and indirect costs.
  • Generate top-down estimates by using Aspen Cost Estimate suite.
  • Identify and promote best practices within Estimating teams for the region.
  • Provide weekly report on Estimating activities.

What is the most challenging part of the job?

Development of proposal estimates of highest accuracy.

Development of comprehensive cost estimates to support FEL2 and FEL3 developments as and when required.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:


Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability.

Ability to communicate to a high standard with;

  • External – Clients, specialist vendors and partners.
  • Internal – Global Proposals and Estimating teams, Operations Lead, BD Lead, Functional Leads, etc.
