Kent are seeking an experienced Telecoms Project Engineer to assist with the management of our Telecoms projects. As a member of the projects team the Projects Engineer will work closely and communicate effectively with all engineering disciplines, business functions, Kent management and client representatives to ensure the company’s reputation for high quality products and services is maintained.

About the role:

The Project Engineer will use the operating processes employed within Kent to complete projects. You will also be responsible for checking that staff members perform their duties to a high standard to ensure that the project runs smoothly. You will also responsible for maintaining client relationships to identify and pursue additional opportunities.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for the following key elements of project execution:

• Assist in the development of project execution plans, proposals and estimates.
• Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management.
• Identify any issues and put actions in place to mitigate them. Report key issues to senior management.
• Proactively manage project change by identifying variations to the agreed scope.
• Project closeout including capture of lessons learned and appropriate archiving activities
• Prepare (with assistance from project controls), the project schedule.
• Provide input to assist with cost performance measurement.
• Comply with Kent business and legal policies including the Integrated Management System and Quality Processes for Project Execution
• Provide forecasts of the resources and tools required to execute the project
• Provide input into a risk & opportunities register during the project proposal phase
