About the Job:

In this role you will be part of the Mechanical Consulting Team providing brownfield engineering in the conventional oil and gas sector (onshore and offshore) and emerging Energy Transition markets. You will be responsible for contributing to all aspects of mechanical/piping engineering and meeting the technical competency expectations.

As a degree qualified engineer your experience will cover between 5 to 10 years of experience with the the oil and gas industry, preferably including offshore facilities, with most of this in a multidiscipline design environment. You will have significant experience in the design, specification, bid evaluation, build and FAT, installation, commissioning, and operation of mechanical equipment (static, rotating equipment and piping systems). You will have working knowledge of pressure vessel and heat exchanger design in accordance with Australian and International Standards along with working knowledge of pressure piping design in accordance with ASME B31.3 and experience of stress analysis using CAESAR or equivalent. Conducting complex engineer tasks along with key engineering work properly and efficiently will come as second nature to you and working well with your team mates and safety minded is top priority to you.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assessing, undertaking and delivering work scopes related to mechanical & piping engineering.
  • Ensuring that all work designed or supplied by the mechanical or piping engineering discipline complies with the relevant sections of mandatory health and safety standards, including any regulations or codes referred to within the required jurisdiction for the Project with due consideration of relevant client engineering standards
  • Preparing a list of engineering deliverables and time-based functions to facilitate the planning and control of the engineering budget
  • Producing, reviewing and approving technical deliverables, as required.
  • Assisting in the preparation and development of project specific procedures
  • Managing system requirements to achieve the Project results and monitor effectiveness
  • Ensuring coordination, between the Mechanical/Piping team and other disciplines of all activities being performed.
  • Ensuring that quality audits of engineering work are carried out in accordance with Project procedures and the quality assurance plan and maintain technical documentation
  • Ensuring resolution of engineering issues during Project lifecycle, including planning phase, design, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning
