About the Job:

In this critical role you will be responsible for contributing to all aspects of mechanical integrity, meeting the technical competency expectations of our Oil & Gas and Future Energy operators in Australia, APAC and globally. You will have the opportunity to deliver brownfield projects with fit for purpose design and execution methods, meeting client spec/procedure requirements, liaise with clients’ engineering, construction and operations personnel to ensure that all project requirements have been addressed.

As a member of the Mechanical Integrity Team, you will work closely and need to communicate effectively with the other disciplines, management and client representatives to ensure the company’s reputation for high quality products and services is maintained. You will assess, undertake and deliver work scopes related to mechanical integrity and perform the effective review of inspection data, results trending and remnant life assessments, perform fitness-for-service assessments and provide recommendations for repair and replacement methodologies. You will develop, improve & manage AIM database/software and use advanced analytics to perform assessments.

As a degree qualified engineer your experience will cover more than 3 years of hands-on engineering and/or consulting experience with the delivery of brownfields projects. You will have experience in working within a Safety Case regime and understanding of Risked Based Inspection (RBI) methodologies and experience in API580/581 and AS3788. Your experience will include an understanding of NDT techniques and in-service application of NDT with good working knowledge of materials and corrosion principles in the O&G industry.

You will have working knowledge of Pressure vessel and heat exchanger design in accordance with ASME VIII Divisions 1, 2 and 3 along with experience in pressure piping design in accordance with ASME B31.3.

You will have a demonstrated systematic and methodical approach to problem solving with attention to detail and boasting initiative and lateral thinking skills in developing solutions and in the methodologies employed. Your technical writing skills will be well developed and have extremely effective communication.
