About the job:

Responsible for performing a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks while learning to maintain, repair and install electrical or electronic equipment and systems.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Construction Management and Client to determine material requirements.
  • Responsible for tracking activity related to assigned categories of construction materials. The scope of this responsibility includes recording material requirements, acquisition, and issues in the project material control systems. It also assists in the coordination of material availability.
  • Liaise with the Materials department/Warehouse to ensure field requirements are being met.
  • Liaise with client/owner Materials coordinator to expedite required client-supplied material.
  • Provide expediting reports to the Construction Management team as required.
  • Coordinate Material deliveries to the field.
  • Communicate as required to Material Manager status of daily progress and operation.
  • Skills are typically acquired through a minimum of 5-6 years experience in construction with five years dedicated to Materials Management.
