The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Lead Process Engineer to join our Brisbane Projects and Engineering Team. You will join and provide leadership in a high-performing engineering and project delivery team. You will work closely with engineering and technical disciplines on an exciting and industry leading project and support our client to deliver this energy transition project.

In this role, you will undertake the following duties:
  • To plan and direct the mobilisation and demobilisation of the discipline personnel for a project to ensure that suitable qualified engineers, technicians and draftspersons will be available as and when required.
  • To prepare a list of engineering deliverables for the discipline (coded in such a way that they can be sorted by discipline, facility or work package) and indicating the hours required per document, to permit the planning and control of the engineering budget and schedule.
  • To coordinate delivery of all technical documentation required for the execution of the Project.
  • To manage and coordinate the progress of the discipline engineering work in accordance with the project scope, schedule and procedures.
  • To review shop drawings to ensure conformity with engineering designs.
  • After the award of contracts and purchase orders, monitor the fabrication and construction work to ensure that it is executed in accordance with the engineering design.
  • Control of Engineering Budgets and Schedules, measure, on a monthly basis, the progress of the discipline engineering work packages, to ensure that the budgets and schedules are being met. If necessary, take corrective action.
  • To ensure that the quality audits of engineering work are carried out in accordance with the Project Instructions and the quality assurance plan.
  • To ensure that the checking of documentation and interdisciplinary coordination is carried out in accordance with the Project Instructions.
  • To train and aid the project’s process engineering team in their personal development if applicable.
  • Prepares a draft monthly discipline engineering progress report for incorporation into the engineering monthly report.
