The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Lead Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our Brisbane Projects Team. You will join and provide leadership in a high-performing engineering and project delivery team. You will work closely with engineering and technical disciplines on an exciting and industry leading project and support our client to deliver this fast-track project.
In this role, you will undertake the following duties:
- Performing all work in accordance with the Kent Quality Management and Health, Safety & Security System and within agreed time and schedule constraints.
- Participation as Lead Instrumentation & Control Engineer in Multidiscipline projects including FEED and Detailed Engineering Phases in Greenfield and Brownfield development projects
- Leadership of Projects and Teams as part of the Instrumentation & Control engineering capability within the Kent office
- Liaison with clients, developing and maintaining customer relationships and fee earning opportunities
- Perform Controls associated scopes, including Control philosophies, functionalities, alarm & trip, SIL etc
- Liaison with suppliers and contractors
- Liaison with the other disciplines, clients’ engineering and production personnel to ensure consistent basis for all input parameters
- Coordination of Instrumentation & Control engineering studies
- Feasibility and conceptual design studies
- Detail design
- Report and specification writing
- Definition of development options and parameters for cost estimates
- Documentation of assumptions and assessment of development risks for each option
- Analysis and design
- Testing and commissioning of Instrumentation & Control plant
- Trouble shooting and problem-solving
- Technical/commercial due-diligence advice
- Site survey and inspection activities
