About the job:
Kent PLC (Global EPC) is seeking an I&C Engineer in Houston, Texas to support the local team/regional projects.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support I&C Engineering discipline out of the Houston office reporting to I&C Department manager.
- Rotate between projects in the regional market providing I&C support.
Qualifications/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline.
- Valid Texas P.E. (highly preferred)
- Valid TWIC card preferred.
- Knowledge of Instrumentation: in-line, tapped, relief, and basic
- Knowledge of DCS and PLC control systems
- Knowledge of some are all of the following codes and standards: PIP, ISA, IEC, NEMA, CSA, OSHA, API, ASME, ANSI, NFPA, NEC
- Field experience at plant sites and of safety procedures
- Experience with I&C Package reviews
- Experience with multidiscipline reviews: P&IDs, ISOs, Electrical and Mechanical Packages
- Familiarity with safety systems is a plus (i.e. HAZOPs, HAZIDs, LOPAs and SIL Verifications)
- Familiarity with analyzers, shelters, and gas detectors is a plus
- Experience with vendor calculation software, SPI, and Instrucalc or Conval
- Experience with Engineering Manhour Estimate tool(s)
- Additional software experience including CAD, 3D modelling viewer, Document Control and Microsoft Office.
- Individual with a team attitude
- Strong communication skills
