About the job: Kent PLC (Global EPC) is seeking an I&C Engineer in Houston, Texas to support the local team/regional projects. Your Responsibilities:
Support I&C Engineering discipline out of the Houston office reporting to I&C Department manager.
Rotate between projects in the regional market providing I&C support.
Your Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience: Qualifications/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline.
Valid Texas P.E. (highly preferred)
Valid TWIC card preferred.
Knowledge of Instrumentation: in-line, tapped, relief, and basic
Knowledge of DCS and PLC control systems
Knowledge of some are all of the following codes and standards: PIP, ISA, IEC, NEMA, CSA, OSHA, API, ASME, ANSI, NFPA, NEC
Field experience at plant sites and of safety procedures
Experience with I&C Package reviews
Experience with multidiscipline reviews: P&IDs, ISOs, Electrical and Mechanical Packages
Familiarity with safety systems is a plus (i.e. HAZOPs, HAZIDs, LOPAs and SIL Verifications)
Familiarity with analyzers, shelters, and gas detectors is a plus
Skills Requirement:
Experience with vendor calculation software, SPI, and Instrucalc or Conval
Experience with Engineering Manhour Estimate tool(s)
Additional software experience including CAD, 3D modelling viewer, Document Control and Microsoft Office.
