About the job: Kent is looking for a talented Human Resource Director (HR Director) for the Western Hemisphere (Canada, US, South America) to act as an executive business partner to our EVP of Operations West Region, and other executive leaders based in the West. This role reportscentrally to our Chief People Officer also based in Houston.
This role is supported corporately through our Kent Centers of Excellence for Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, HRIS, People Development/Inclusion and Belonging.This role is to set the people strategy to support the Western Hemisphere two lines ofbusiness:ProjectsandEngineering/Consultancy.ThisrolehasdirectreportsinAlberta,Houston,andColombiasupporting
approximately 1,500 employees. There is an enhanced focus on operationalizing our culture, continued integration from our lasttransaction/merger,alongwith aheavyemphasisontalentacquisition,on-boarding, retention,andtalentdevelopment.
Your responsibilities:
FormulatespartnershipsonbehalfoftheHRfunctiontodelivervalue-addedservicetolinemanagementandemployeesthat reflects the business objectives of the organization.
Adoptsmeasurestoensuretheeliminationofriskthroughcompliancewithfederal,state,andlocallawsandindustryregulations in relation to handling employee related issues.
Ensuresthatwearedeliveringonourcommitmentsandthattheenvironmentbeingcreatedforouremployeesisreflectiveof achieving our commitment of being an employer of choice.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Qualification/Certification:
SHRMqualifiedorsimilarispreferred.
Mustbedegreededucatedorequivalentqualification,andhaveatleast15+yearsoverallHRexperience,10ormoreofwhich at a management level.
