About the job:


Document Controller on on long-term revalidation project of existing LNG facilities in Port Arthur, TX. Ideal candidate has experience with turnaround, shutdown and CapEx work on Brownfield projects. Reports to Completions Lead. Receives, Transmits and Manages all official documentation related to the project. Support the assembly of decommissioning, installation and work package assembly processing.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Jointly with engineering and quality, negotiate early in the project the Master Document Register as well as the required format & content for key types of documentation (Data Sheets, ASME calculations, Fabrication drawings, Weld maps, Manufacturing Record Books, ITPs, Material Certificates, Traceability requirements, Operation, and maintenance manuals etc.)
  • Act as an interface between internal engineering, quality, manufacturing and document control teams, external suppliers, and the client.
  • Coordinate the storage, review, approval, and distribution of documents for a project.
  • Ensure effective management of the master document register, including engineering drawings, manufacturing data books, materials certificates, reports, etc. throughout the project.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of client and project document control requirements.
  • Develop, collate, and distribute a suite of document management status reports for the client and project team.
  • Drive on time document delivery throughout the project.
  • Help maintain the Electronic Document Management System.
  • Assist in effective execution of the business document control team where required.
  • Ensure global standards for document management are adhered to.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and work with the Document Control Supervisor and project teams to implement improvements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION/ CERTIFICATION:
  • High school diploma plus five years of directly related experience in a similar setting where technical experience and competence has been clearly demonstrated.
  • Experience with engineering and/or construction of plant equipment desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
  • Must have an in-depth understanding of company policies, practices and procedures.
  • Experienced in developing logical sequencing of work.


SKILLS REQUIREMENT:
  • MS Office (Excel and Word) and product competency required.
  • Advanced analytical use of Excel with Tree Plan in addition to Monte-Carlo
  • Experience using an industry proven document storage, tracking, and transmitting software required.

  • Must be able to work under tight deliverable and compressed time schedule(s)
  • Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department.
