Kent’s Environment Team welcomes expressions of interest from experienced environmental professionals in the UK to support the team’s growth and workload. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact and support the sustainable energy transition.

We welcome interest from UK -based environmentalists with a range of skills/experience in the energy sector to help us deliver projects at various stages; from concept through and feasibility, FEED and consenting, through to commissioning and construction. We are particularly interested to hear from professionals with skills and experience in:

  • Offshore / onshore wind, oil and gas, overhead lines and low carbon (including carbon capture, energy-from-waste and sustainable aviation fuel);
  • EIA co-ordination for TCPA / DCO schemes;
  • UK-wide project experience (in particular Wales);
  • Providing inputs across the project lifecycle.

At this stage, we welcome discussions from contractors / freelancers on both an inside and outside IR35 basis. Alternatively, we also have several staff vacancies – please get in touch to find out more information.

Key Deliverables:

The deliverables and services required will vary depending on the project and scope required. However, at a broad basis, the following will be required:

  • Report writing to a high standard, for both internal and external audiences
  • Close liaison with internal and external project stakeholders
  • Potential for technical report writing
  • Management of and/or input to Project Management documents
