Job Responsibilities

• Front-End Engineering Design (FEED): Lead the static equipment FEED activities, including conceptual design, feasibility studies, and preliminary engineering for oil and gas projects.
• Equipment Selection and Sizing: Determine the appropriate static equipment (e.g., pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks) required for each project based on process specifications, operating conditions, and industry standards.
• Technical Analysis: Conduct technical analysis and calculations to ensure the safe and efficient operation of static equipment, considering factors such as pressure, temperature, stress, and corrosion.
• Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for static equipment, considering materials, fabrication, installation, and associated engineering services.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all static equipment designs and FEED activities comply with relevant industry codes, standards (e.g., ASME, API), and regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering disciplines, including process engineers, piping engineers, instrumentation and control engineers, and project managers, to integrate static equipment designs seamlessly into the overall project.
• Risk Assessment and Safety: Identify potential hazards and risks associated with static equipment design and develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure safety and reliability.
• Innovation and Optimization: Propose innovative solutions and optimization opportunities to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of static equipment design.
• Vendor Interaction: Liaise with equipment vendors and manufacturers to evaluate technical proposals, review equipment specifications, and provide technical clarifications during the FEED phase.
• Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical reports, design documentation, and drawings for static equipment designs and FEED deliverables.

Qualification and Skill Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in static equipment design and FEED activities within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong working knowledge of static equipment design principles, codes (e.g., ASME, API), and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools used for static equipment design and analysis.
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information to multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Familiarity with project management concepts and ability to deliver FEED work within established timelines and budgets.
• Commitment to safety and understanding of HSE regulations.
• Professional engineering licensure or certification is preferred.
