In this role, you will undertake the following duties:

  • Support and maintain Applications / SQL Server / Oracle Database
  • Work within a ticketing system and maintain a ticket queue.
  • Track the progress and find issues, if any. Always work to improve the process of release.
  • Create plans for the implementation and deployment as per the release schedule.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of work performed on trouble tickets.
  • Communicate effectively with users to provide updates on trouble tickets.
  • Providing technical support on-site or via remote-access systems.
  • Maintaining databases and ensuring system security.
  • Troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
  • Schedule the CAB / TCB meetings to discuss the release schedules with the team and find roadblocks, if any.
  • Maintain documentation related to procedures on build and release, various notifications lists, and dependencies.
  • Consulting with IT managers and other departments as required.
  • Good understanding of application infrastructure, system architecture, Enterprise architecture and operating system

Knowledge/Skills and Experience:

  • Min 7+ years of hands-on experience in maintaining & supporting applications like Applications (.Net / Java / NodeJs / Python / etc.) and RDBMS like Oracle, SQL Server etc.
  • Work experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
  • Knowledge in taking backup and restore of RDMS Databases (Oracle, SQL Server etc.)
  • Configuration of applications servers (IIS, Flask, Nginx, Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat etc.)
  • Experience in handling L3 Supports tickets.
  • Knowledge of basic networking principles, what they mean, and how they interact (TCPIP, DNS, DHCP, LAN / WAN)
  • Experience in applying patches for software.
  • Experience in running scripts in RDMS Databases (Oracle, SQL Server & MySQL)
  • Experience in handling support ticketing Platforms
  • Experience in configuration of containers (Docker, Kubernetes or Podman)
  • Automation of release management
  • Setting up of Dev, Test or Production Environment
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and diagnose issues

Technical Skills:

  • Source Control Tools: GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins
  • Container: Kubernetes, Docker Compose, Podman or Docker Swarm
  • Database: SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, HIVE
  • Web Server: IIS, Flask, Nginx, Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat etc


Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Information technology, or related field)


  • An excellent communicator (Written and Presentation) in English
