About the job:
The Corporate Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate accounting, reconciliation, preparing financial statements and supporting on statutory audit as per International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). We are looking for a motivated candidate who has a strong background in accounting and wants to grow his / her career within a dynamic, high growth organization. The position requires strong technical expertise in accounting and audit and is ideally suited for a finance professional with audit experience from Big4 or reputed organization.
Skills and Responsibilities:
Accounting:
- Accounting and month-end process: Ensuring accounting transactions and processes adhere to accounting policy and guidelines and maintaining precise and compliant journal entry details, reconciliations, and documentation
- Account Reconciliation and Review: To prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts (e.g., account receivables, accruals, etc.) with accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards
- Financial Reporting: To own and manage the trial balance for assigned legal entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting. Support in the preparation, review and analysis of financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Audit Support: Coordinate and support annual statutory audits by providing requested information and addressing findings proactively and, ensuring clean audit outcomes with efficiency and timeliness.
- Responsible for accounting controls and ensure compliance with corporate law and governance requirements
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and nurture effective working relationships with global accounting, tax and treasury teams to achieve shared goals
- Ad-hoc Analysis and Reporting: Respond to inquiries with insightful financial analysis, and support decision-making through timely, data-driven insights.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional Qualification: Chartered Accountant, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, accounting or audit. This can be within a multinational or group environment, but prior experience audit from in Big 4 or reported CA firm is essential.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills
Communication:
- Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
- Proficient in building and maintaining strong working relationships and internal teams, external auditors and other stakeholders
