POSITION: Commissioning Lead Engineers (2 positions)

JOB DUTIES: Commissioning lead engineer focuses on planning and coordination, and stewardship of field execution of commissioning activities, including development and review of systems completion deliverables for a single discipline or defined scope. In addition the commissioning engineer focuses on developing and updating commissioning and start-up planning deliverables for company in order for the project team to test contractor performance in these areas.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: prepare, execute and monitor preparation, planning and execution of systems completion activities by contractor. Develop systems completion plans including but not limited to process system boundaries, sequence and priorities, P&IDs markups, procedures, schedules, plans, check sheets, fishbone diagrams, skylines, work packs, TCPS, etc. Steward data verification of systems completion database to ensure all required components and necessary check sheets are included. Enforce management of change to maintain the database in line with approved design changes. Verify that commissioning activities are thoroughly planned and adequately staffed in order to support safe execution. Develop and steward regular updating of project commissioning and start-up fishbones, skylines, and schedules. Validate planning deliverables with discipline specialists and commissioning manager support commissioning manager in: development of project team KPIs with regards to systems completion. Development of regular systems completion reports during planning and execution phases provision of system completion data to the project team. Track completion of systems completion deliverables. Monitor overall site construction and commissioning priorities by system to drive mechanical completion and commissioning target dates. Develop and maintain project skyline and milestone icicle chart reporting monitor test pack completion metrics and identifies / analyzes areas for improvement in efficiency. Report turnover progress to the commissioning manager and start-up manager. Sets up, manages and reports turnover metrics such as check sheet progress, plan, actual and outstanding punch list items, etc. Monitor preservation performance and maintenance activities by subsystem. Develop and maintain a planning tool for company's daily witnessing activities and ensure assignment of company's personnel to each activity. Support development of detailed start-up schedule and update throughout the start-up phase at a daily activity level. Support start-up team develop daily reports including activities completed, planned as well as metrics on operations such as consumables and capacity levels. Apply lessons learned; participate in lessons learned reviews and provide input to close-out report section upon completion of turnover.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation engineering.
Minimum Experience for position: 5 years' experience with mechanical, rotating machinery, electrical, telecoms, and instrumentation + experience with systems completion process including mechanical completion, commissioning and start-up planning /sequencing, walkdown and punch-list management + experience with systems completion database set-up and management.
Travel Requirements: 30% domestic travel to visit project sites.
