About the job:
Kent has an exciting opportunity to join its burgeoning Offshore Wind team, based out of Bristol. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about Offshore Wind/Low Carbon and pushing those industries forward to meet the challenges of the day. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with Project Managers to provide direct assistance in coordinating projects from start to finish. This is a great opportunity to grow into the renewables future and be part of the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with Project Managers, Project, Bidding and Commercial teams to ensure efficient project delivery
  • Engage with all key aspects of the Project Management Process: planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing out projects
  • Be involved in both bidding for projects and delivery of multi-discipline live projects
  • Assist in the creation of project plans, schedules, budgets and estimates
  • Organize and take part in bidding/project meetings
  • Consistently monitor the costs, progress and quality of a project and report these to the stakeholders
  • Organize project deliverables (reports, drawings) and internal documentation (execution plans, registers, contracts, invoices etc)
  • Liaise with the management of sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Coordinate all project team members so workflow remains on schedule
  • Facilitate, support and/or undertake project kick-off sessions
  • Produce Minutes of meetings, technical & progress update reports

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
  • Ideally hold a bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Maths, Science or similar related course
  • Project management certification and relevant work experience in project management are also both highly valued
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership, motivational and mediation skills and the ability to take initiative
  • The ability to operate analysis and communication software such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Project, Visio
  • A goal-oriented mindset and good organisational skills
  • Willingness to tackle challenges to solve problems
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Determination and persistence
  • The ability to work well in a group setting
  • Empathy and situational awareness
